I was really looking forward to this ship. I'm not getting multiple penetrations and I'm getting very very very few citadels. The problem is that a 3 or 4 hit salvo is only doing 3-5k damage. Aim for the waterline below the funnels or the waterline below the turrets. I expected the 16 inch guns to play just like all the others in terms of aiming. I understand how angling works and think I'm pretty damn good at it in every single BB other than the Nagato. I'm not getting citadeled very often, but I'm getting penetrated by multiple rounds every salvo I take. I can't seem to get the Nagato's guns to work for me and everything that shoots me penetrates me. I'm clipping folks for 95k a game in that. The Colorado felt like an upgrade to the New Mexico in every single way. The Fuso feels like a superior ship in every measurable category save hit points. My South Carolina and Myogi lived more than my Nagato does. More importantly, I'm only surviving at a 28% clip, where all my other BB's above tier 4 I'm in the 60-80% survival range. I'm doing a full 20,000 less damage per game in the Nagato (64k per game) than I did in the Fuso (84k per game). Bought the C hull and the other upgrades. I immediately pimped her out before playing a single game in her. The WoWs shell doesn't travel high enough to ever really act as plunging fire unless you have sloped citadel edges, which is why long distance shots can sometimes citadel German BBs.I am finding the Natago.underwhelming.

Then look up a "parabolic curve", which is the actual flight paths of real life shells. If you ever follow a shell's trajectory, you will notice that it spends most of it's time moving horizonally with little vertical motion. While 50cm on the citadel deck isn't a lot, you have to realise 2 things: No HE will ever pen it, and there is for all practical purposes no plunging fire in WoWs. WoWs is not very realistic (see later in the post), so the whole "crossing the T" situation is reversed: Being the nose-in ship is always better.Īlso, run one of almost any camo in the game that gives 4% penalty to enemy dispersion. It comes down to 2 things: NEVER give broadside, and stay at ~13-15 km. I just got myself Amagi, so I have a bit of experience with Nagato.
